These amazing mosaics are all hand cut using different exotic woods to create these beautiful suns rising (or setting) over water. The Skys have been stained to create a sunset/sunrise or blue sky. We use our signature burning method to give the water portion a unique texture and then stain it to create the look of water. The suns have no coloring, only lots of sanding done, each different color is a different type of wood.
A few have straight cut rays and a few have tapered rays.
Option A has a Yellow Heart sun with tapered cut Canarywood rays with burned and stained Doug Fir water and a reclaimed Cherry frame
Option B has an incense cedar center sun with tapered cut Canarywood Rays, burned and stained Doug Fir water and a Birch frame.
Option C has an Incense Cedar sun with tapered cut Yellow Heart rays, burned and brushed Doug Fir water and a Black Walnut frame.
Option D has an incense cedar center sun with straight cut yellow heart, purple heart and bloodwood rays with a Black Walnut frame
They each measure 16” x 9”, are equipped with a sawtooth hanger for the wall and are also able to stand on a desk, shelf, counter, etc.
